Wilmington is easily one of the best “beach towns” on the Southeast coast. With summer in full swing we wanted to give you a curated roundup of things to do this summer.

 

 

ATTRACTIONS

 

1| Visit the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. 

 

2| Take a walk-through Wilmington’s beautiful gardens: The Arboretum and Airlie Gardens. 

 

3| Catch a fishing charter at the Carolina Beach Marina.

 

4| Take a day-trip to Historic Downtown Wilmington. Walk the Riverwalk or tour the Battleship North Carolina. 

 

5| Have a beach day at Wrightsville Beach, don’t forget to leave a letter in the Wrightsville Beach Mailbox at the north end of the beach.

15| Go “off-roading” on one of our four-wheel drive beaches: South End Kure Beach or Freeman Park. Note: vehicle permit is required.
